Our Policies:
We are available by phone and text: Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturdays are available on occasion, given enough notice ahead of time.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel an appointment or reschedule, we request that you give us a minimum of 24-hour notice. If a late notice is given, CAPS reserves the right to charge a $40.00 late cancellation fee. We may not be able to book another client for the appointment date that we set aside for you. If we can book another cleaning appt. for your canceled date, then we will only charge a $25.00 cancellation fee. We understand that circumstances come up that require a cancellation. If a client cancels appointments excessively, we reserve the right to cancel all future services.
Payments:
Payments are to be made on the day the services are rendered. We use PayPal and Square. CAPS accepts cash, credit cards, and (checks for our approved customers) Any returned check will result in a $35.00 fee.
Sickness:
If you are sick and/or contagious, please call to reschedule. If our techs are sick and/or contagious, CAPS will need to reschedule your appointment.
Pets:
We love pets. However, for their safety and our cleaning tech/s safety, we ask that you keep your pets away from the areas being cleaned. Dogs who are usually friendly can become irritated by the sound of a vacuum. They can also become anxious and protective when new people enter their territory.
Clients At Home During a Cleaning:
We understand that many people are retired, or they work at home. We ask that you avoid walking on damp floors that we have mopped, avoid cooking on the stove, without the cleaning tech/s knowledge, to avoid burns. It is best to leave the room/area where the tech is currently working, when possible. We try to work around our client's needs the best that we can.
Access To Your Home or Office:
The safest method for you, and our cleaning techs, is to not leave your door unlocked or leave a key under a mat. Therefore, we will ask you for two copies of the key, one copy will be for Virginia Culp to keep on file, and the other copy will go to the lead cleaning tech who oversees that cleaning appt. The cleaning tech will return the key to Virginia Culp when the cleaning is done that day. Your key will not be tagged to your street address, for your safety. The keys will be stored in a locked key box when not in use.
CAPS has a one-hour arrival time window, to perform our services. We strive to be punctual, but there are times when prior cleaning appts. may take longer than estimated, cancellations may occur, illness, weather and traffic issues, etc., may delay our time of arrival. We will do our best to inform you of any delays, beyond 15 minutes of our scheduled appt. time.
Lock Outs:
If we arrive at your home and you forgot to leave the door unlocked, leave a key or the team needs to leave without cleaning for any reason, you could be charged a $40.00 fee to cover the hourly loss to our cleaning tech/s.
Insurance Policy:
Due to our insurance policy, we are not able to step higher than a 2-step stool or lift heavy objects over 30 pounds. We will not move furniture across hard floor surfaces to avoid damaging the floors. We will dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop under the furniture areas that are accessible. Our cleaning techs use a 2-step stool to reach higher areas. We do not use a ladder.
Your Privacy:
To protect your privacy, and valuables, please move confidential or valuable items.
Delicate Items, Collectables, Heirlooms, Sentimental Value Items, Heavy Items:
Inform Virginia Culp about any items that you don't want to be cleaned. We will not lift items that we feel are fragile or too heavy, to clean underneath them.
CAPS Gives a Satisfaction Guarantee:
If you are not satisfied with the services that we performed, contact us within 24-hours, and we will schedule a date to return and try our best to resolve the issue.
Cost of Services:
Our cost depends on many factors. Our hourly charge for one technician is $40.00 an hour. The charge for two techs is $80.00 an hour, but the time to render services is less with a team. Clients are not paying more for a team. NOTE: For cleaning services, CAPS may switch to a flat rate after the first several cleanings, if new tasks are not added often, and if the house is kept relatively clean between cleaning appointments. Our fees may change, or vary slightly, depending on the services requested. Ask Virginia Culp for these cost updates.
Payment Methods:
We accept cash, PayPal, Square, and we accept checks on occasion. For new clients, we may require a deposit upfront, for large jobs.
Phone Use:
We will try to avoid using the phone while performing services for our clients. However, there are occasions when a tech is working for several hours, and she/he receives an important phone call or an emergency call, that needs to be answered or a call needs to be made. In that case, the tech will look at the time of the call and limit the conversation as much as possible. Your time is valuable and so is ours, so this will be kept to a minimum.
Lunch Breaks:
We allow our techs one or two, 5 - 10-minute break/s to drink water, have a snack or make a quick call, return a call, etc. Therefore, we may add on an extra 15 minutes of cleaning time (on our time) that we would not charge you for.
Bathroom Breaks:
If a cleaning tech needs to use your restroom, they will try to use a secondary bathroom. They will disinfect the toilet seat area after they use it.
If We See Something Broken in The House - Safety Issue:
For the cleaning tech/s safety, if an area that they are cleaning is deemed to be unsafe, they will avoid cleaning that item or area during that cleaning. We will try to notify you of this situation.
House Temperature:
We ask our clients to please keep the temp. set between 75-78 degrees during the summer months, if possible. Heatstroke can occur when a house is too hot while cleaning techs are working.
Holidays Observed:
We observe New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. When December 24th and 31st fall on a weekday (M-F) we will close by 2:00 pm.
We get along great with our clients, and we are respectful of our clients' needs. This policy guide is meant to protect everyone and to deliver a smoother business relationship. We want to give clients clear expectations. Thank you for your understanding and your business.
